Dholera SIR Being First Industrial Greenfield Smart City

Dholera SIR is the First Industrial greenfield Smart and futuristic city in India. Dholera is the only location in Gujarat that is announced as one of the fastest-growing cities in the world.


Dholera SIR Spread over an area of 920 sq kms, Dholera SIR is the First Planned Greenfield Smart City of India offering infinite possibilities of growth and advanced infrastructure, connected and sustainable city, fast track approvals and single window clearances, full of potential and opportunities. Dholera SIR Developing Current Status:-


1) Dholera International Airport:-


The Dholera International Airport is a part of Dholera SIR of Gujarat,India. The greenfield airport will be built on 1700 acres of land and 1426 hectares of Government land has been reserved for Airport at Navagam Village of Dholera Taluka in Ahmedabad District.,29 km from Dholera SIR and 80 km from Ahmedabad. Dholera greenfield international airport located at a distance of 100 kilometres South West of Ahmedabad.


Varaha infra limited got a contract from the Airports Authority of India for the Development of New Greenfield Airport at Dholera, Ahmedabad.


Its 1426 hectare site at Navagam village (view on google maps) is located north of Dholera Smart City & Bhavanagar, and south of Ahmedabad. In the future, the airport will be connected to Ahmedabad through the under construction 109 km Ahmedabad – Dholera Expressway.


2) Dholera Largest Solar Park:-


Tata Power Solar, India's largest integrated solar company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, has received a & Letter of Award (LoA) & to build 320 MW of ground mounted Solar PV project for NTPC, a company statement said.

The order value of the project is approximately Rs 1,200 crore ( USD 162 million). The commercial operation date for this project is set for May 2022.

With this addition, the order pipeline of Tata Power Solar stands at approximately 4 GWp with approximate value of Rs 12,000 crore.


3) Dholera SIR Activation Area:-


Dholera Activation Area has been selected based on immediate availability of land and its future status after implementation of TP scheme (area with highest opportunity of commencement of site work). Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has been awarded the INR 1,734-crore EPC contract to work on the construction of roads and services The Activation Area is approximately 5.25% of the total developable area of DSIR. It can cater to a residential population of 1.2 lakhs with an employment of approximately 80,000 persons after completion. The development will activate a major portion of government land (80%) in Activation Area for the investors/industrialists and it will also help to trigger investments in rest of DSIR.


Trunk Infrastructure at Activation Area:


To develop the Activation area various trunk infrastructure projects have been identified as listed below:

· 1.Roads & Utility Services – 72 km

· 2.Flood Management – River training and bunding on Adhiya river – 15 km

· 3.Potable Water Supply – 135 km

· 4.Waste Water Treatment (STP & CETP) – STP 20MLD – CETP 35MLD

· 5.Solid Waste Management – 22.5 sqkm

· 6.Power Infrastructure – 430MW

· 7.Information and Communication Technology (ICT) – 22.5sqkm

· 8.Administrative and Business Centre for Dholera (ABCD Phase-I)- 14000 sqm

· Built-up
